Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express, which is the biggest opener of all time, has collected Rs 33.12 crores nett from 3500 (including Tamil and Telugu versions) at the Indian Box Office on the first day of its release. Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 has already beaten its record by releasing in a large number of screens. The movie has beaten the first day collection record of Chennai Express.
Trade experts predict that it is really historic opening for Dhoom 3, which is new record in the Indian cinema. As per the early trends, this much-hyped movie has collected Rs 40+ crores nett from all its versions (Hindi, Telugu and Tamil) at the Indian Box Office on its opening day. It is expected to cross Rs 100 crore mark in the domestic market in just 3 days. Meanwhile, Dhoom 3, which has released in 700 screens overseas, has also taken the international Box Office by storm. The movie has done fantabulous business in the foreign countries like USA, UAE, UK, New Zealand and Australia. According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, the action thriller has raked in £ 247,783 in UK, A$ 157,207 in Australia NZ$ 69,162 in New Zealand on its opening day.
