Filmmaker Sakthi talks about Kamal Haasan's song in ‘Rojakkal Aindhu’
Chennai: The multifaceted Kamal Haasan has written the lyrics for a song and also sung it for his good friend and veteran director R C Sakthi.
The song, whose starting line is "Irai Ena Edhai Solvadhu..." is for the 45-minute short film by Sakthi, titled ‘Rojakkal Aindhu’.
"Kamal is my good friend and our relationship dates back to the days when I was working as an assistant director and he was an assistant dance master," said Sakthi.
He adds: "So, when I approached him for the song, he immediately said yes and came up with the lyrics in less than 24 hours. He himself sang it to the tune composed by Shyam of ‘Manidharil Ithanai Nirangala’ fame."
