The Verizon branded version of the Motorola Moto G is already available at some Best Buy stores, so you might want to check out your local brick and mortar location to see if the device is in stock. The Moto G, which resembles a Motorola Moto X that was left in a pants pocket and went through the wash, is equipped with a 4.5 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. That works out to a pixel density of 329ppi. A quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 is under the hood while 1GB of RAM is on board. There is 8GB of native storage, but no microSD slot. The back and front cameras weigh in at 5MP and 1.3MP respectively. A 2070mAh battery powers the device, and Android 4.4 is pre-installed. There is no LTE connectivity on the phone.
You can score unlimited talk, text and 2GB of data for $60 with Verizon's pre-paid plan. Double the data for an additional $10. And don't forget that you can customize the Moto G by replacing the rear cover with a different colored plate. Despite this capability, you cannot remove the battery.
