Sonakshi Sinha weighed 90 kgs, not very long ago. The 26-year old actress worked hard to lose weight when she decided to become an actress. Still a far cry form being skinny, the actress is happy in her skin.
While Sonakshi does yoga regularly she believes that it’s running that did the trick to shed that weight. Here she shares her fitness mantra.
“I only started running a few months ago and it’s the best decision I ever made! Not only does it have a lot of health benefits when done the right way, but it also liberates me in a lot of ways. After a run I am always in a better mood, I feel light on my feet and most importantly, I feel great.
I’m not working out to become thin, but I’m working out to be fit so I feel better than I did yesterday and to be the best that I can be. Running feels like it’s taking me closer to that goal one step at a time. I got myself a treadmill and I do it right at home, no matter how late I have got back from work or how tired I am. Time depends on those two factors. I started off with not being able to run more than two minutes at a time, now I am up to 15 minutes at a stretch. Slow and steady wins the race holds true sometimes!
I would like to wish all the runners at the DNA iCan Women’s Half Marathon all the best and I hope their energy rubs off on a lot more people who then take to leading a healthier lifestyle.”(DNA)
